Through our Nourishing Connections program, we connect local food banks and food rescue organizations with the resources they need to provide nutritious food to people in need. Our Foundations
As a Whole Foods Market Team Member, you have limitless opportunities to give back to the community. From participating in stores' Community Giving Program all the way to flying across the world to help people in need, we empower you to make a meaningful impact.Quality standards don’t just apply to our products. We hold our buildings to the highest standards possible as well. Reuse, reduce and recycle is our way of life even when it comes to building our stores. We harness alternative energy to offset electricity use, recycle rainwater through on-site purification systems, and employ systems that turn food scraps into energy. And that’s just the tip of the iceberg! Some of our stores even feature rooftop greenhouses that grow produce that we sell in the store below.

Whole Kids Foundation is focused on improving the lives of children in school. They provide schools with salad bars for healthier eating, subsidize school gardens, and offer cooking and nutrition education for teachers and staff. As a Team Member, you can help grow the foundation through paycheck donations and/or volunteer directly.
Whole Cities Foundation is focused on bringing quality food to cities in need. From creating food access solutions to hosting healthy eating classes, Whole Cities supports the health and nutrition of communities in various ways. As a Team Member, you are eligible to nominate a community organization for the Community First Grant Program. You can also give a portion of each paycheck to support this foundation.
Whole Planet Foundation funds poverty alleviation across the globe. Their mission is to empower the world’s under-served communities people with microcredit to create or expand a home-based business and lift themselves and their families out of poverty. As a Team Member, you can give a portion of each paycheck to this foundation.
