Are you ready to take your skills to the next level? We are looking for an outstanding designer to join the Whole Foods Market Design team to support the development and execution of WFM marketing assets with a focus on digital properties. You will work cross-functionally with multiple teams and with various stakeholders on creative strategy, branding, and delivering on brand standards. This is your chance to break new ground at the intersection of technology and retail. The ideal designer will possess a passion for great design, creating and working with design systems and a keen eye for detail. A collaborative attitude and a desire to turn ambiguity into innovative experiences will be a great addition to our growing team. You will execute effective and consistent design and production for customer-facing materials across all WFM marketing channels. This role is based in Austin, TX, with an expectation of being in the Store Support office five days a week.

Skill and Requirements: 

 

  • BA/BS degree and 2-4 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. 

  • A firm grasp of visual design principles including layout, typography, and art direction. 

  • Strong conceptual design skills with digital first thinking. 

  • Basic knowledge of responsive web design. HTML and CSS are a plus. 

  • Experience with the Adobe Creative Cloud Suite, Sketch, and Figma. 

  • Strong communication and organizational skills. 

  • Strong illustration skills desired 

  • Able to sell design effectively to non-technical/creative audiences and stakeholders. 

  • Understands the company, business unit, and/or project strategy, goals, and objectives. 

  • Able to identify alignment/misalignment of team project goals with larger organizational strategy, goals, and objectives. 

  • Strong conceptual thinking and problem-solving skills.
