Job Description Summary
Reports to the Associate Facility Team Leader (AFTL) of Operations. The Inventory Control Team Leader (TL) provides leadership, direction, management, and supervision of Allegro Inventory Control Operations and Site wide Scheduling, with a focus on safety, quality, continuous improvement, Associate Team Leader (ATL) and Team Member hiring, training and development, and employee relations. Provides guidance to ATL in team operations including labor and regulatory compliance, inventory control, scheduling, expense control, and operational performance. Responsible for overseeing operational execution, financial performance, and special projects as assigned.
Job Description
Overall Responsibilities
- Support the AFTL of Operations in all areas of inventory control performance including safety, quality, efficiency, and financial execution.
- Act as Associate Facility Team Leader of Operations, in conjunction with other TLs, in their absence.
- For SQF purposes, this position, being part of Leadership and Operations, is considered a High level of Responsibility with the back-up position of Associate Facility Team Leader of Operations.

Operations:
- Oversees warehouse location management. Develop and maintain master location assignment lists. Reassigns product to locations as necessary to improve selection productivity and accuracy while reducing damage. Oversee daily replenishment.
- Creates Sitewide schedules based off Inventory Reports for all equipment.
- Communicates with other departments scheduling questions about PROMOS, Seasonal Coffees, etc.
- Maintains safe and sanitary work conditions in compliance with applicable health and safety codes, including OSHA, FDA, GMP, and state regulations. Establishes warehouse organization standards, including identification and segregation of allergens, food versus non-food, and finished goods inventory versus non-inventory or component items.
- Oversees activity to prevent material shortages. Communicates stock needs or inventory variances to Production and Purchasing. Resolves issues in ERP system to ensure continual flow of orders for shipment.
- Ensures accurate receipt of goods and proper document flow. Ensures proper disposition of any returns
- Oversees physical inventory counts at all sites, leading a team of warehouse and purchasing team members through the process of counting and recording inventory. Reconciles physical variances.
- Ensures accuracy of data in Sage X3 including quantities, expiration and use by dates, and lot numbers. Develops and refines inventory status reports. Investigates and resolves variances.
- Manages FIFO and shrink. Oversees code dates, origin and other product attributers and investigate any issues.
- Maintain powered equipment including pallet jack, forklift, dock plates, and safety equipment.
- Develops KPIs and drives improvement projects to meet the established goals/targets.
- Knows, enforces, and maintains compliance in step with all regulatory and safety standards related to SQF, GMP, HACCP, FDA, OSHA, NSF, NOP, and any local/state/federal requirements.
- Provides external audit support.
- Requires adherence to standard operating procedures through training and operational audits.
- Responds quickly to any issues in safety and quality, including customer complaints, communicating Root Cause findings or CAPA plans.
- Regularly inspects the facilities to ensure compliance with all programs, policies, and standards.
- Reviews and monitors inventory, scheduling, performance, purchases, and other expenses to ensure team is within budget.
Communication and Teamwork
- Develops and maintains open, cooperative, and participatory communication throughout Allegro and Whole Foods Market.
- Displays effective inter-facility and intra-facility communication to ensure that operational service is timely and accurate, and that all relevant information is shared throughout the organization.
- Collaborates with Shipping, Manufacturing, and Purchasing teams to obtain support of the facility goals.
- Establishes and maintains collaborative and productive working relationships with Senior Leadership, Team Leaders, Team Members, and Global Support Teams.
- Establishes and maintains positive external relationships including customers, vendors, suppliers, and manufacturers.

- Intermediate computer skills including the ability to learn and utilize Excel, X3(ERP), Coupa, and Corrigo
- Must be competent in report analyzing, scheduling, inventory control, and project management
- Able to safely operate equipment including sit down forklifts, reach trucks, electric pallet jacks, and scissor lift.
Desired Work Experience
- Individual will have a minimum of 3 years of progressive inventory control/scheduling and planning/warehouse /supervisory/ leadership experience, preferably in food manufacturing.
