Job Description

We are looking for a Project Manager to join the Whole Foods Market Marketing Operations team supporting Amazon Fresh Private Brands packaging projects. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, the Project Manager will be responsible for supporting a small team that works cross-functionally with stakeholders throughout Whole Foods Market and Amazon to (1) define and manage the work plan, resource needs, timeline, and budget for packaging projects; (2) organize and drive resources to achieve project objectives on time, within scope, and on budget; and (3) ensure project scope, planning, and implementation align with Amazon expectations and business needs. The ideal candidate has proven project management experience and a track record of successfully managing complex initiatives.This position is based in Austin, TX, with an expectation of being in the Austin Store Support office five days a week.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide end-to-end project management support for Amazon Fresh Private Brands packaging projects.
  • Build and maintain project roadmaps, including milestones, deliverables, and overall timelines and report on progress, issues, and status.
  • Engage with stakeholders to understand business requirements including documentation expectations, resource limitations, risks, and challenges.
  • Track and manage progress of tasks, identifying and communicating issues / risks to leadership; ensure changes are implemented and documented as required.
  • Engage with Team Members and leadership to ensure a mutual and shared understanding of project expectations.
  • Partner with third parties and teams across WFM and Amazon to ensure alignment, collaboration, and widespread sharing of lessons learned.
  • Network with other business groups to identify gaps / synergies and suggest process and communication improvements.
  • Build effective working relationships with partners across the organization.
  • Ensure consistency and adherence to Whole Foods Market and Amazon standards, processes, and policies.

Qualifications:

  • BA/BS degree and 2-4 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent education and relevant experience.
  • Proven project management and organizational skills, with experience working with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with demonstrated critical thinking skills.
  • Good oral, written, and presentation skills, with ability to communicate ideas clearly.
  • Capable of keeping projects on track financially, creatively, and in accordance with stakeholder deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively with various business teams and stakeholders.
  • Basic understanding of company and business unit strategy and goals.
  • Knowledge of grocery, retail, or e-commerce preferred.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and/or Smartsheet management for a large group of stakeholders/users is a plus.
