Job Description
Whole Foods Market is seeking a dynamic Principal Kronos Engineer to join our Workforce Planning team in Austin. You will support and maintain software-as-a-service (SaaS) and enterprise-wide applications across WFM. You will evaluate, modify, test, and support implementation of software solutions to help meet defined business needs. You will also perform application configuration, setup, and updating. You will be evaluating new packages, releases, upgrades, and other changes to understand change requirements, cost implications, timings, and potential user impact. You will be recommending changes in application development, maintenance, and system standards. Responsibilities:
- Plays a leading role in design and development efforts for significant initiatives and across major segments of the organization.
- Identifies tasks for automation and information management improvement and works with appropriate teams to develop viable solutions.
- Leads projects to design, develop, test, deploy, and support applications, interfaces and design integrations using a variety of tools and environments.
- Organize and conduct consultative requirements gathering sessions with multiple stakeholders across different teams
- Engages with application engineer to identify new design, coding, and other system / methodology best practices.
- Identifies new technologies that by applied within WFM and help improve systems and processes overall.
- Mentors fellow Team Members in software application development best practices and methods.
Skills:
- Advanced knowledge of software development toolsets and methodologies.
- Strong ability to analyze and adapt software for internal applications.
- Ability to adapt existing or design new software testing and debugging techniques.
- Strong experience designing intuitive simple and easily navigable user interfaces.
- Conveys and / or consults on issues of moderate to significant complexity.
- Regularly interacts with colleagues or customers up to the senior leadership level.
- Provides system, application, network, process, and policy advice to Team Members and clients / customers.
- Able to effectively present technical information and respond to questions in both one-on-one situations and group meetings.
- Applies analytical skills to evaluate and interpret complex situations.
- Presents problem analysis and recommended solutions in a creative and logical manner.
- Handles a diverse range of issues requiring evaluation of a variety of factors, including business trends.
- Analyzes complex and ambiguous problems.
- Identifies opportunities for process and procedure enhancement to drive efficiency and improve service levels.
- Possesses clear understanding of WFM’s and supported region / stores business objectives, competitive strengths and opportunities.
- Understands customer, market, and industry trends and emerging challenges.
- Demonstrates excellent knowledge of the WFM product mix, supply base, and retail operations.
- Able to play a key and influential role working with others, in groups, in cross-functional settings and with diverse stakeholders internally and externally.
- Models WFM principles and core values.
Education & Experience:
- BA/BS degree and 10 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 10 years of the UKG Pro Experience (Legacy Kronos Workforce Central and Kronos Workforce Dimensions)
