We’re currently hiring a Principal Program Manager to lead our Strategic HR/TMS (Team Member Services) initiatives and enhance our Team Member (TM) experience. As a Principal Program Manager within our TMS PMO, you are responsible for defining and managing the value proposition, work plan, resource needs, timeline, and budget for a variety of high-visibility and high-impact projects. You’ll organize and drive resources (capital, staff, tools) to achieve project objectives on time, within scope, and on budget. You lead overall project planning, direction, prioritization, change management, delivery, and post-delivery evaluation. Additionally, you ensure project scope, planning, and implementation align with client expectations and business needs. Lastly, you’ll ensure alignment between multiple projects.
This role is based in Austin, TX, with an expectation of being in the downtown office five days a week.
Responsibilities:
Manage the full lifecycle of strategic TMS (HR) Programs, from initial planning to delivery and post-implementation review.
Develop and maintain project timelines, budgets, and resource plans to meet business and program needs.
Oversee project execution using best practices in project management, ensuring delivery aligns with business, operational, and technical complexity.
Maintain and oversee the program roadmap, working with business stakeholders to create and communicate a clear, actionable plan for delivery.
Independently manages complex projects requiring collaboration across multiple functions.
Manages cross-functional project teams comprised of diverse (for example, business, operational, technical) Team Members.
Facilitate the change management process, including guiding stakeholders through changes and ensuring proper documentation and communication.
Plays a consultative role to help put in place the appropriate people, processes, and tools to enable effective project management and success.
Defines, implements, and consults on project management standards / processes for relevant teams or projects.
Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions as needed to meet goals.
Foster an inclusive and collaborative team culture that values diverse perspectives and encourages open communication.
Maintain governance frameworks for managing project portfolios, adhering to organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
Skills:
Expert understanding of project management methodologies and requirements.
Expert ability to plan, estimate, organize, and monitor projects.
Advanced capability to oversee and advise on project management issues and assist with overcoming barriers.
Experience utilizing Smartsheet as a program management tool is required.
Expert ability to keep workstreams on track financially, creatively, and in accordance with stakeholder deadlines.
Conveys and / or consults on issues of moderate to significant complexity.
Ability to regularly interact with stakeholders, up to the senior leadership level.
Use experience, innovation, and judgment to make decisions that may be based on partial information.
Ability to work in ambiguity whilst moving a program forward.
Consider enterprise-wide implications of decisions and recommendations.
Education & Experience:
BA/BS degree and 6-8+ years’ relevant experience OR equivalent education and relevant experience.
Retail experience is a nice-to-have.
PMP is preferred.
