Senior Equipment Maintenance Team Member- Bakehouse
Job Description
As a Senior Maintenance Team Member, you will maintain all production support equipment to ensure maximum availability and reliability, including various corrective and preventative maintenance activities on all equipment within the facility. Also, you will perform routine inspection on the facility and equipment.
Responsibilities
- Perform general maintenance tasks, preventive maintenance tasks, supervise maintenance TMs on basic facility maintenance
- Maintain and order parts and reconcile packaging slips with invoices in preparation for payment.
- Coordinate outside contractors, as needed, to perform needed repairs.
- Maintain inventory of basic parts.
- Responsible for upkeep of basic painting and building maintenance.
- Inspect and diagnose problems and determine the best way to correct them, frequently checking blueprints, repair manuals and parts catalogs.
- Use common hand and power tools such as screwdrivers, saws, drills, wrenches and hammers as well as specialized equipment and electronic testing devices.
- General maintenance, perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate.
- Follow checklists, including inspection of drives, motors and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters and perform other maintenance functions.
- Communicate and maintain safety and security standards and follow all GMP guidelines
- Attend Safety committee meetings.
- Consistently communicate, uphold and embody Whole Foods Market's standards, vision and Philosophy.
- Establish and maintain positive and productive vendor relationships
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Some working knowledge of plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration, electrical and mechanical
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret repair manuals, parts catalogues, blueprints, technical procedures, safety rules, operation/maintenance instructions and procedure manuals
- Stay current with changes in maintenance procedures
- Strong organizational skills, attention to details, ability to prioritize and ability to meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, on-line ordering and troubleshooting through vendor websites
- Ability to deliver information in a clear and concise manner to fellow team members and customers
- Demonstrates responsibility and accountability in recognizing and accomplishing all tasks where there is a direct job responsibility
- High attention to detail and thoroughness in approach with all paperwork
- Proper use of equipment which may include but not limited to, knives, personal protective equipment, forklift, pallet jacks, hand trucks, six wheel carts, baler (age restrictions may apply) and all other equipment used during preparation and clean up within department and store
- Able to work a flexible schedule based on the needs of the store, including nights, weekends and holidays as required
Desired Work Experiences
- Industrial machinery repair work (2 years)
- Some warehouse experience
- Leadership preferred
