Job Description
Your Plate of Responsibilities: As our Senior HRBP, you'll be consulting and coaching our leadership on crucial people matters-from talent management to succession planning, team member engagement, and leadership development. You’ll whisk together leadership needs and partner with TMS teams (Centers of Excellence) to create solutions that make our workplace a truly nourishing environment.
Serve Up Tailored Solutions: Blend TMS programs to meet team needs, ensuring we’re always delivering the best to our leaders and team members.
Mix It Up with Key Ingredients: Partner with essential TMS groups (Recruiting, Learning & Development, Compensation, Benefits, HRIS) and Legal to cook up win- win solutions.
Spice Up Strategy: Act as the face of TMS, helping leaders "turnip" their people strategies and organizational effectiveness.
Lead with Insight: Consult with business leaders on talent, leadership, people strategy, and culture, assessing risks and planning for growth.
Assess & Address Needs: Dynamically evaluate organizational strengths and gaps, creating action plans to close workforce capability gaps.
Stay Fresh on Policies: Provide guidance on company policies, making sound interpretations, and coaching leaders to align with values and compliance.
Data-Driven Impact: Use data, research, and people metrics to influence and support strategic business decisions that drive success.
Your Ingredients and Qualifications:
Education & Experience: BA/BS degree with 4-6+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in corporate retail or within a Center of Excellence Business Partner Model.
HR Expertise: Deep knowledge of HR concepts, programs, change management, and methodologies, along with an in-depth understanding of labor laws (FMLA, ADA, HIPAA, and Leaves of Absence) and federal, state, and local HR regulations as they apply to Whole Foods Market (WFM).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in HRMS systems, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and HRIS platforms such as Workday.
Communication & Stakeholder Management: Builds a strong reputation for effective communication with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and partners, while maintaining a neutral, approachable demeanor as a trusted TMS professional.
Problem Solving & Mediation: Recognizes and proactively addresses potential people and organizational issues, mediates difficult situations, and escalates when necessary.
Data-Driven Insights: Uses evidence-based insights to inform decision-making and recommends changes, conducts research to support benefits, health, and wellness programs, and manages case and pilot studies to evaluate specific challenges.
Industry Knowledge: Stays updated on industry trends and emerging challenges related to people and organization management, understanding the impact of people strategies on business KPIs and objectives.
Customer Service Commitment: Demonstrates a strong commitment to customer service and fostering a positive workplace culture.
