Responsibilities:
Supports the determination of annual seasonal marketing themes
Provides recommendations to merchant teams for how to support marketing themes
Partners with merchant teams to plan merchandising for marketing themes and seasonal priorities
Contributes to the development, facilitation, and communication of an enterprise cross-merchandising strategy
Supports merch planning and implementation for dedicated, off-shelf and shared space displays
Ensures merchandising content is regionally and locally relevant
Creates and delivers the Retail Execution Planner content for Merchandising teams to Retail Operations
Assesses audience feedback of the Retail Execution Planner and implements adjustments where appropriate
Contributes to seasonal and holiday retail execution planning and communication
Identifies and implements additional merchandising specific, store-facing content in the Retail Execution Planner
Contributes to communication platform development as a subject matter expert
Collaborates with Retail Marketing Team on process development
Holds contributors accountable to deadlines
Builds relationships with Store Support and Store Operations teams
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree and 4-6 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination thereof
Passion for Whole Foods Market core values, company mission and actively lives Whole Foods Market leadership principles
Understanding of retail execution fundamentals, including visual merchandising, affinity, marketing collateral
Demonstrated understanding of the WFM business, food retail industry and competitor business models
Ability to engage with other leaders to formulate the organization’s go to market strategy
Ability to lead and motivate Team Members to advance projects amid complexity, ambiguity & change
Ability to foster a collaborative working environment, inspiring cooperation and leading through influence
Ability to form strong partnerships and create common ground with multiple stakeholders across WFM to ensure the effective delivery of Merchandising Processes and Systems
Experience analyzing data and turning it into actionable insights
Experience in providing clear, actionable verbal and written communication to large groups and leaders
Experience in building out innovative, effective tools and reporting vehicles
Business maturity and the ability to offer sound recommendations and make key decisions
Self-starter, ability to identify opportunities and problems and find solutions
Excellent organization and time management skills, strong project management or operations background
Strong attention to detail
