Whole Foods Market is the world’s leading retailer of natural/organic foods with more than 500 stores in the U.S.A, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Whole Foods is looking for a Senior Project Manager to support Amazon Fresh private label packaging development. 

The Whole Foods Market Project Manager role is a full-time position that reports into the Marketing Operations PMO. In this role, you'll partner with the Amazon packaging creative teams to own the successful delivery of complex private label product launches/relaunches. You may also partner with various Amazon Fresh Program and Project owners to execute companywide programs that are connected to private label initiatives. 

The Senior Project Manager is a member of the Global Marketing team and reports to the Executive Leader, Marketing Operations.  

This role is based in Austin, TX with an expectation of being in the Store Support office five days a week. 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Owns Whole Foods, Amazon, and 3P facing creative process development, documentation and RACIs 

  • Owns budget tracking, approvals and planning for Amazon Fresh private brands creative 

  • Schedules and leads creative, process and status meetings with up to SVP level leadership involvement 

  • Creates and leads project plans for macro-level projects, such as rebrands and new brand creation 

  • Works hand-in-hand with Creative Director to resource projects across the Amazon Private Brands creative team 

  • Acts as the primary POC between the Whole Foods and Amazon private brands teams 

  • Provides guidance to the WFM private brands PM(s), WFM based creative team, and 3P on SKU level packaging development projects 

  • Sets standards for the collection of intake documentation, briefings, and ensures objectives and information needed for package design projects are clear and complete. 

  • Assists in facilitating the label review and approval process and ensures all required approvals are obtained before moving forward to printing packaging. 

  • Acts as a champion for brand continuity across all stakeholder groups and product categories. 

  • Works with cross-functional parties to determine and convey priorities across teams. 

  • Workflows and communicates updates using product-lifecycle and project management tools. 

  • Is the main POC for communicating photography needs to internal and 3P production teams 

 

Qualifications: 

  • 4-5+ years of project management experience in the Consumer-Packaged Goods space, preferably private brands and/or food/beverage. 

  • 2+ years of packaging experience 

  • 2+ years of working with creative teams 

  • Ability to keep projects on track financially, creatively, and in accordance with stakeholder objectives and deadlines. Understands store and regional marketing goals and objectives. 

  • Able to identify alignment / misalignment of team project goals with larger organizational strategy, goals, and objectives. 

  • Minimum intermediate understanding of the food industry and/or consumer packaged goods industry and associated packaging materials, packaging equipment, packaging systems and controls, and related manufacturing applications. 

  • Excellent listening skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate detailed feedback clearly and effectively on food packaging graphics. 

  • Excellent aptitude for analyzing stakeholder needs, identifying gaps and risks, and defining solutions to a business problem. 

  • Ability to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 

  • Ability to quickly adapt to timeline developments and reprioritize work to meet the needs of the business. 

  • Collaborative spirit and the desire to work with all internal and external stakeholders to gain consensus and clarity. 

  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong sense of urgency and follow-through. 

  • Proficient with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Professional. 

  • Experience working with product life-cycle management and project management systems. 

  • Knowledge of FDA Code of Federal Regulation (Section 21) a plus.
