Job Description
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for more complex accounting activities, including:
- Analyzing, creating, and posting journal entries and account reconciliations,
- Ensuring general ledger accuracy,
- Maintaining accounts according to recognized accounting standards,
- Analyzing financial information detailing assets, liabilities, and capital,
- Assisting in the preparation of profit and loss, balance sheets, and other financial reports,
- Assisting in preparation of budget guidance.
- Supports audits and suggests ways to strengthen internal controls and improve process efficiency.
- Acts as Accounting representative on task forces, as needed, and partners with various teams such as: Team Member Services, Payroll Operations, and Finance.
- Assists with development, documentation, and updating of company-wide accounting processes.
- Creates / updates policies and procedures, including interpretation of relevant guidance.
- Proactively seeks ways to support the Principal and Senior Team Leader to advance the goals of the department and team.
Skills:
- Excellent knowledge of accounting principles, policies and practices, including GAAP.
- Excellent understanding of income statements, balance sheets, general ledger, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
- Able to identify, understand, and interpret trends, patterns, and cause-effect relationships.

Education & Experience:
- BA/BS degree and 4-6 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
